Our durable leather goods are unlined, featuring the natural suede side of the hide. Because leather is a natural material, slight color and batch variations are normal. Factors like hide age, season, and dye absorption can all affect the final shade, making each piece uniquely yours.
Our leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Full Grain: Meticulously sourced from the finest hides, this premium material boasts unique textures and character, showcasing nature's artistry at its best. As time passes, watch as its surface develops a unique patina, telling your personal journey through the years. Unlike processed leathers, full grain leather stands the test of time, due to its unmatched strength and resilience. Its dense fibers offer exceptional resistance to wear, cuts, and moisture, our full grain leather ensures lasting beauty that only gets better with age.
Top Grain: Top-grain starts from the same premium zone of the hide but is lightly sanded and finished for a more uniform surface. That light correction softens and evens the face while keeping most of the strength you want. Takes pigment and protective finishes beautifully, which helps with colorfastness and stain resistance. Ages gracefully, especially when we keep the finish thin enough to let the leather breathe and break in.
We use top-grain when a smoother cosmetic is the goal—think color consistency across large panels—without walking away from the core strength you expect from a Portland bag.
Pebbled: Unlike most brands that use artificial stamping methods to create patterns, our pebbled leather is achieved through a natural tumbling process. The distinctive raised, pebble-shaped texture adds sophistication and makes a bold statement wherever you go. But it's not just about looks—pebbled leather is built to last. Worried about daily wear and tear? Don’t be! The unique pebbled surface ages gracefully, developing a natural patina that will evolve for years to come!
Suede: Our suede leather begins with an intricate process: the hide is split to separate the soft underside from the top layer. This top layer is then tanned, buffed, sanded, and dyed to create the signature velvety texture that defines high-quality suede. Naturally slouchy and pliable, suede leather ages gracefully, developing a rich patina that tells its own story over time. Most natural imperfections are gently smoothed away during production, while subtle traces—like healed veining and the soft, napped surface—are preserved to celebrate the leather’s unique character and charm.
Because leather is a natural material, slight color and batch variations are normal. Factors like hide age, season, and dye absorption can all affect the final shade—making each piece uniquely yours.

Love the medium nutmeg
by: Mary L.
Love the medium nutmeg. For me I love the soft leathers in this bag.
New Favorite
by: Courtney P.
I started carrying my large Deep Water Ashburn to work as a teacher and it has become one of my all-time favorites! I can fit my 14-inch MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, planner, notebook, wide mouth pouch, large Luna pouch, sunglasses, and wallet and still have some room left over! The length of the shoulder straps make it comfortable and easy to carry.
An AH-MAZ-ING work bag!
by: Miss J.
This checks all the boxes for me as a work bag! Pockets, spacious, long shoulder handles, and a crossbody strap!
Mini Ashburn
by: Karine W.
Beautiful little purse in Coldbrew! 😍 Fits the essentials!
Sweet Spot!
by: Kristen L.
I grabbed a large in Orchid and am in love! I was worried the shoulder straps would be too long, but I am 5’7” and it hangs at the perfect length. While I don’t plan to carry my computer often, I did find that my MacBook Air fits vertically (too snug horizontally) and isn’t awkward to carry in case that’s helpful info for anyone!
Stunning color! Perfect for an Apple Neo in a soft sided zipper cover
by: Rolanda P.
Stunning color! Perfect for an Apple Neo in a soft sided zipper cover. Along with a Small Auburn inside. Perfect for my plane trip to DC!
Medium Ashburn in Orchid - Perfect EDC!
by: Jacquie B.
The small felt too small for me to fit my phone, wallet and small items and the large is more of a “work” type bag in my eyes so I settled on the medium size which is perfect for an everyday carry. I’m able to fit my phone, my astra pouch, my mini envelope wallet, keys and random toys my son makes me carry lol! My next purchase will be the pebbled olive if I can find one!
Best fancy date night purse
by: Megan M.
I never thought I'd be a little black purse kind of girl, but this is too cute to resist! Perfect for a date night with just a phone, wallet, and a lip gloss!
Lola’s big sister
by: Karlene B.
Let me start by saying that I have many Lola’s that I love. I was planning on purchasing a Lola in honey when the Ashburn was first revealed. I knew when I first started seeing it posted I knew I wanted it in honey. I ordered a medium Ashburn in honey and it is a beautiful purse. It is a similar size to the Lola with two outside pockets. The only thing I miss is the inside pocket but my small canvas organizer fits in it well.
Had to get another!
by: Glendalis G.
The mini Ashburn is just such a great bag! All my essentials fit perfectly leaving ample room under the zipper. I loved it so much I got it in Sunshine as well.
I love my New Large Ashburn Tote in Coldbrew

Medium Ashburn in Plum
by: Julie C.
Oh my goodness, what a beautiful bag! Great design. Can be dressed up or casual. Lots of space, but doesn't feel too big. I used the small canvas organizer, which is great. The plum color is so rich and a wonderful neutral. Very comfortable to carry. Love, love this bag!
