I am so glad I went with the large. It’s beautiful and fits everything! A love letter to the August (and a eulogy for chunky pebbles)

If you are 5’1” and wondering if you should wait for the Large August to restock: don't. Take it from an impatient shopper who pulled the trigger on the Medium. It is perfection. It gives "sleek, minimalist chic" rather than "I am moving out of my house." The clean lines with no front pocket are absolutely stunning. But we need to talk about the Nutmeg elephant in the room. PLG, what happened to my favorite leather? The color is darker, the bag weight is lighter, and it scratches if a gentle breeze hits it. Constantly rubbing out scratches has become my new, un-voted-for workout routine. But worst of all? The texture. I fell in love with the old Nutmeg because of those glorious, unique chunky pebbles. This new version has uniform, consistent pebbles look that feels a little too unnatural for my taste. That being said... I'm completely obsessed with the shape. It’s going straight into my regular bag rotation, and I will absolutely be buying more. Just... let's pour one out for the chunky pebbles of yesteryear.

This leather is gorgeous! Its just a puddle of squishy, pebbled orange. The August is a perfect tote and elevates even the laziest of outfits.
Roomies bag ever
Bought the medium in mango and I adore it. It’s firm and structured which I wanted for this particular bag so it would stay standing (esp since no zip closure).
The mango color really does read as a neutral- not as mustard or bright as sunshine, a little more subdued than sunflower. It’s almost like sienna’s lighter little sister, ha. Size wise, the medium is not big enough to be my work bag (would not fit my laptop). But great for offsite professional meetings where I might need an iPad, small notebook, keys/phone/wallet. I think I’m going to need a large and slouchy one next!
I’m now 4 PLG bags deep & the August tote might be my new favorite! It’s my diaper bag, snack bag, catch-all carry-all. 10/10!
