Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!
What if I don't love my Almost Perfect bag?

Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

I’m not a tote girl. Usually I find them heavy. The August is lightweight and roomy. The Plum color is, as usual, beautiful. Love the straps. The only thing that would make it better is a zipper. And an even bigger size. 🥰☺️💜👜 (pic shows my Orchid lg. Devan too)

I have a large classic tote, and while the large August is slightly smaller, I like it much better. Because of its shape, it stays closed all the time, and you can’t see the contents. It holds so much! Love the coldbrew color.

This tote is fabulous. I have the smaller size in Nutmeg and plan to buy a few more. I really like that the top is smaller than the bottom. This is a very comfortable carry.

I like a soft handle and the August Tote does not disappoint. I really loved the Market Tote and Montana, but both were a touch small. The August Tote in Midnight Owl is perfection. Great size (my laptop in a sleeve fits) and gorgeous soft leather I a beautiful, muted navy. I am obsessed. The drop is perfect for me (5’7” and XL/1X). I want one more at l ast, maybe Ruby??

The August tote is one of my PLG bags. I use any organizer in mine, and I love that it has a place to clip my car keys in it too.
Soft, supple leather with that rich, real leathery smell. Feels luxurious in hand yet tough enough for everyday use. Definitely not the same bag everyone else is carrying. The Nutmeg color is fall gorgeous, and the “Almost Perfect” just add character. A true one of a kind.
I just received my first August Tote yesterday. She's a great size, and the straps are a very good shoulder-carry length. I was surprised at the leather, however. Coldbrew is usually very chunkily (is that a word?) pebbled, with lots of striations and character. This tote has very even pebbles throughout.
I ordered an AP hoping to get more character in the leather, but this bag looks all Premium. I still love the bag, as it's soft and puddly, I was just surprised at the difference in leathers. She smells great, dresses up beautifully and I'm sure she'll be a favorite when she gets the chance to prove herself.
Besides this purse being in one of my favorite colors (Nightowl) and in large, it is the perfect tote size for me. It is almost too big. This is the purse I would use as a carry on or on a road trip. Perfect color and a great size.
Y'all, I was always, always buying pebbles bags. But then I got a Honey August and it was literally Purse Peace, y'all! So I got the much underrated color Madrone. Do. Not. Sleep. On. This. Color!! Get y'all a Madrone August and thank me later!
